POLAR successfully presents its automation solutions at China Print
With its P-Net service Compucut®, the Transomat unloading unit and cutting system L-R-137-T PACE, POLAR is offering three interesting solutions for cutting process automation.
(IINews) - "Presenting our high-end cutting system L-R-137-T PACE at the China Print was a gamble, but the interest shown by our customers has confirmed it was worthwhile", says Jürgen Freier, Polar's Head of Sales and Service.
Automation is playing an increasing role even in China. The printing businesses located in areas of urban concentration, in particular, are finding it more and more difficult to find suitable operating staff. In addition to qualification, ergonomics is an important topic. This is reflected by the increasing use of the Transomat unloading unit specifically to unload the cutting machine.
One of China's most successful entrepreneurs in printing, Mr. Su Zhao Chun from Jingyi Printing Hefei Co., Ltd., has even gone one step further and purchased the first POLAR PACE cutting system in China at China Print.
Compared with a manual cutting system operated by two people, automation allows him to obtain the same output with just one operator.
PACE (POLAR Automation for Cutting Efficiency) is a synonym for automated cutting processes. The loading, turning and waste removal operations are automated. The Autoturn turning gripper combined with the Autotrim cutter forms the automation centerpiece here. The interaction between these two components allows automation of the first five cuts (four-side and dividing cuts).
In addition to machine automation, an automation solution for creating cutting programs - Compucut® - was showcased. The P-Net service Compucut®, which is now also available in Chinese, allows greater streamlining of work cycles at the high-speed cutter or cutting system.
This is a decisive competitive advantage, especially for web-to-print businesses. The cutting program is generated off the high-speed cutter while it continues production. By now, all major web-to-print businesses are using Compucut®.
